Colosseum Black Jack Online

Colosseum Blackjack Online is your standard "single player versus the casino's dealer" blackjack game.

These are the terms you will want to be familiar with in this game:

  • Hit: This tells the dealer that you are not ready to end the current bet. When you'd like another card, select "Hit," but be careful not to bust, or the dealer will automatically win.
  • Stand: When you think that your cards are good enough to win, or you believe you might bust, if you hit again, selecting stand will signal the dealer to know that you are ready to match your hand against his to see who won.
  • Split: When your first two cards are of the same value, you can "split." This means that you will be holding two hands against the dealer’s one hand. If one of your hands wins and the other doesn't, you won't win as much, but if both hands beat the dealers, you’re going to win double what you would have to begin with.
  • Double: "Ever wonder where the term, "double or nothing came from?" If you select double, you will be given one more card to add to your hand. If you win, you win double. This isn't a hand you'd want to lose.

You are given 1000 credits at the start and must see how many more credits you can obtain without losing it all.

You are given the option of betting a minimum bet of 2 credits, and a maximum bet of 50 credits.

To win in this game, you must try to hit 21, or come closer to 21 than the dealer, without going over in what is known as a bust.

If you’re lucky enough to land a blackjack, which is 21 off of your original hand, consisting of two cards, and the dealer does not also have 21, then you instantly win 250% of what you laid on the table as your bid. This is called a 3 to 2 spread.

This is a game of patience. You must remember that Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will your fortune, if you don't play it safe.

The best way to insure that you’re going to "go home with some dough," is by using all the rules to your advantage.

First, the dealer must always stand on all cards equaling 17. If he gets two cards totaling 17 right off the bat, he will have no choice but to stand. If his first two cards are under 17 but his first hit gives him a total of 17, the rules are the same. This is your first advantage.

Secondly, you should know that you are allowed to purchase insurance. If you think the dealer has a blackjack, and are unsure, you can claim this insurance to guarantee that you don't lose as many credits as you would without it.
